- Abstract
Stocks of the hydrocarbon energy carriers on the Earth are limited and taking into account the modern consumption level their exhaustion is expected already in the middle of the current century. At the same time the use of hydrocarbon energy carriers and coal as fuels is one of the main contributors to the formation of hotbed gases and results in aggravation of hotbed effect. The use of hydrocarbon stocks as fuel deprives next generations of the possibility to use these stocks as raw material for the chemical industry and in the synthetic materials manufacture. The problem of sufficient production of electric power can be solved with the application of ecologically friendly power stations based on thermonuclear reactions. The fusion reaction with helium-3 is practically ecologically safe. The modern automatic and manned space complexes and technologies give the possibility to organize the monitoring of the Moon surface, the exploration of helium concentration locations, the delivery of the mining equipment to the Moon, the experimental works, the experimental enrichment of helium by the isotope of helium-3 and the transportation of the produced helium-3 to the Earth.
