    Abstract
Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) has capability of delivering a wide rang of payloads to earth orbit with lower cost, greater reliability, more flexibility and responsibility than any of today's launch vehicle, it is the main developing trend of space transportation systems. Along with the developing and applying of the new generation of Long-March launch vehicle, the state-of-the-art, performance and reliability of Chinese expendable launch vehicle will be increased greatly. Because of some inherent disadvantages, expendable launch vehicle will be difficult to meet the requirements of space transportation in the future, for example, reducing the cost per pound of payload into earth orbit to thousands dollars, or hundreds dollars. As a important supplier of launch vehicles in international launch service market, CALT has taken RLV concepts and technologies into account. Several RLV concepts based on the new generation of Long-March launch vehicle, such as reusable orbit-injection-stage and reusable booster stage, are also presented. The features of such RLV concepts are taking off vertically, landing horizontally, two stage to orbit, and partially reusable. The key technologies of such RLV concepts are analyzed and the roadmap of Long-March RLV is presented.
