    Abstract
Enhancement of cavitation performance is essential in developing turbopumps for liquid rocket engine because it can contribute to increase pump stability and decrease rocket weight. In order to increase the cavitation performance of the fuel pump for liquid rocket engine, a series of cavitation tests are performed using water as a working fluid at room temperature. According to the test results, the cavitation performance of the pumps is similar to that of industrial centrifugal pumps. The inducer highly affects on the cavitation performance. On the whole, thickness of inducer blade is irrelevant with the performance. Also it is found that the distance between an inducer and an impeller has an impact on the cavitation performance.
