    Abstract
The approaches for spacecraft protection are studied. Such analysis has a sense only as a part of the whole system of the risk analysis. Several protection principles are investigated.
The meteoroid and space debris threats are compared for different orbits.
There is discussed a problem of ballistic equations for spacecraft. Any spacecraft contains cables, tubing, and possibly tethers. So the problem of specific ballistic limit equations is arising. One of the simple approaches to build an appropriate equation for such linear elements is analysis of energy distribution during a hypervelocity impact.
