- Abstract
In this paper, the present state of the research on reentry capsule is summarized and the key aerodynamic problems for manned spacecrafts capsules are analyzed. Aerodynamic characteristics of three typical capsule shapes are predicted by a CFD numerical simulation method. Advantages and disadvantages are introduced. The concept of the new capsule is prospected and the feasibilities of different capsules are estimated.
