- Abstract
The presentation shows the results of a preliminary configuration of the ERS space system, using radar spacecraft and a space system of mobile broadband communication with spacecraft in the high-elliptic orbit. One of the most important fields in implementing the strategic goals and tasks of the Russian Federation in the Artic is creating an up-to-date infrastructure for information support of economic activities. The priorities are as follows: integrated information support of the tasks of developing oil and gas deposits in the Arctic shelf and on the Northern territories of Russia, provision of a reliable functioning of the Northern Sea Route, management of air traffic, major pipeline transport by providing 24-hour services: \begin{itemize}\item all-weather radar imaging for obtaining data on ice situation and emergencies in the areas of oil and gas production and along the lines of the Northern Sea Route;\end{itemize} \begin{itemize}\item broadband mobile communication and broadcasting for users located on the Northern territories and in the middle zone of Russia.\end{itemize}
