    Abstract
    In September and November 2011, China successively launched the “Tiangong-1” (Space Palace-1) and "Shenzhou-8" spaceship, and successfully accomplished their first space rendezvous and docking test. This paper presents the technical characteristics of rendezvous and docking task. The basic situation and achievements of China’s first rendezvous and docking are introduced. Also the expectation of subsequent tasks are discussed.
