- Abstract
After the Boeing Starliner Orbital Flight Test launched December 20 and landed December 22, 2019, the team has been incorporating lessons learned back into the spacecraft and our processes to create the safest and most reliable commercial space transportation system to Low Earth Orbit. With the major upgrades and improvements incorporated into the vehicles and program, test flights continue with our Orbital Test Flight 2 due to fly 2Q 2021. Orbital Test Flight 2 will continue to build upon the accomplishments of our first Orbital Test Flight and will demonstrate the necessary objectives that will lead to a successful Crew Flight Test in 4Q 2021. This paper will discuss the challenges and successes the Starliner Program has experienced through its test flight regimes and give an insight into how and why the decisions were made throughout the path to the Crew Flight Test.
