    Abstract
The UAE Space agency is a young space agency that was initiated in 2014. however, the UAE Space sector and research activities took place earlier than that. the UAE Space Agency took a role as a catalyst to these activities and started to fund research projects and creates Space Sciences and Technologies excellence centers to expedite the research activities and create more sustainable programs for the centers. therefore, this paper is studying in a bibliometric way the effect of initiating the UAE Space Agency on the Space Sector by measuring the change of the Research and Development (R&D) activities through time, type of research activities and the leading Space Actors of these activities within the country. this will help the UAE Space Sector to understand the current state of the space actors and their R&D, the type of R&D that are more sustainable in the sector and predict where the UAE Space Sector is going.
