    Abstract
Especially after Covid19, there has been a lot of pushback from the public regarding the money that is being spent by countries and companies for space missions. Many people proclaim that the money spent on space missions can be more wisely spent on combating global warming and especially poverty and hunger across the world. However, many items like microwave in our kitchen to the LCD displays that we use has been invented due to R&D for space missions. Moreover, most people dont realize that space technology allows the monitoring of resources, fisheries and forestry as well as providing support for telemedicine. Hence, educating the public can be achieved by using space museums across the world. There are many space museums in USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia; but they rarely focus on the benefits of space research and space technology to the public. This paper discusses the role that space museums can play to educate the general public as well as acitvities that they can do globally to achieve this. Some regional examples will be provided as well.
