    Abstract
The International Space Station is a research facility in Earth orbit, flying in perpetual weightlessness 400
km above the surface. It has been built by 15 countries around the world, and Canadas main contribution
is Canadarm2, the huge robotic arm that has assembled the Station. Canadarm2 was launched onboard
Space Shuttle Endeavour, and was unbolted, uncrated, unfolded, and powered during 2 spacewalks in
April 2001. Colonel Chris Hadfield, Canadian Astronaut, will recount the invention process leading up to
the launch, the personal experience of being the only Canadian to have walked in space, and the
difficulties overcome in installing Canadarm2 and bringing it to life.
