    Abstract
In this plenary event, the topic of discussion will be the role that national space agencies can, and do, play in support of their national
commercial space industries. The panel consists of the heads of agencies and senior executives of some of the major space industrial firms.
Support for the non-commercial sector of the space such as space science by national agencies is often less contentious of an issue as compared
to the support provided to the commercial sector, e.g., to the satellite communications industry. During the first half of the event,
representatives of the commercial space industry will provide their views on how they perceive the current or the future role of their national
agency in supporting their commercial endeavours. They could also pose related questions to the heads of agencies on this topic. During the
second half of the session, the heads of agencies will provide their views on how they perceive the current and the future relationship between
their agency and the commercial space industry. They will also answer any question that may have been posed in the first half of the session.
