- Abstract
After the completion and publication in Acta Astronautica (Volume 56 n°6, March 2005) of his earlier Study about the "Lunar Farside Radio Lab", this author is proposing a second Moon Study to the IAA. This new Cosmic Study would be entitled "Space Policy and Environmental Protection of the Moon", and would be conducted under the primary reference of Commission 5 of the IAA: Life Sciences. In fact, its goal is to ascertain the environmental aspects of the Moon that deserve to be protected and outline the future space policy to do so. One of the intermediate goals would also be to outline the "cleanest" and easiest astronautical ways to keep the Radio Link between the Moon (Farside included) and the Earth. Thus, the Farside also should be protected, at least in part, and this topic is of paramount importance to the future SETI conducted from the Farside of the Moon. In this paper a description of the new Cosmic Study guidelines is provided.
