    Abstract
Systems thinking was applied to safety in space systems to facilitate organizing, regulating, operating, and investigating geospace transportation. A holistic model of space safety has not been proffered until now for the space enterprise development, which is dependent on geospace transportation. A safety model for geospace transportation was constructed as a supranational framework to compare its required infostructure, quantitatively and qualitatively, with the infostructure in transportation and systems of the global underwater and air domains. The comparisons revealed similarities and gaps between mishaps, risk tolerance, management and analysis that nations value individually and collectively. The system dynamics of space safety based on systems thinking are for use and refinement by organizers, regulators, operators, and investigators of geospace transportation who should harmonize their efforts within this supranational framework.
