    Abstract
    In 2004 the department of Architecture, led by Professor Shuichi Matsumura at the University of Tokyo, and the department of Environmental Design, led by Professor Yasushi Ikeda at University of Keio started a half year design studio program in Space Architecture for architecture students. Together with Space Architecture Research Consortium of Japan (SARC), the team worked on designs for the LEO Space Hotel. Impressed by the high quality of design work, National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (MIRAIKAN), the first Japanese Astronaut Mamoru Mohri serve as Executive Director, offered the group "INTO SPACE - Exhibition of Human Space Activities, History and the Future", to exhibit their works.
