- Abstract
Space is one of the areas having increasing business potential both in future commercial and governmental market. It is extremely important to diversify and expand the various markets especially in tertiary industries. JAXA advanced research and development activity can be a solution to cultivate new space business areas, such as space tourism, entertainment, education etc. Some space-application-oriented key technologies may be a breakthrough in space and ground market. Future possible applications from JAXA advanced research and development is considered with the technical fact analysis as well as the survey of social conditions surrounding Japanese space activity. Future possible outcome from JAXA advanced research is summarized.
