- Abstract
Over recent years there have been an increasing number of new developments in student-centred space education focussing on the design, construction, launch and operation of small satellites. Recent examples include CUBESAT, SSETI/YES-2 and BAUMANETS. The importance of these activities is not limited to space education and capacity building for young people, but also includes demonstrating new techniques in space project implementation and mission creation. The panel of international space education experts participating in this Plenary Event from will discuss recent achievements and possible new initiatives in this exciting field of space activity.
