    Abstract
The SARA Platform is a suborbital experiment to be launched with a VS40 sounding rocket from the Alcantara Launch Site in Brazil. The aim of the project is the development of an instrumented environment to perform scientific and technological tests under microgravity conditions. The SARA Suborbital Platform Mission is also a development step of the SARA Project - an orbital platform for microgravity experiments. The SARA Suborbital Platform Architecture is composed of a thermostructural subsystem, an on-board electronic subsystem, a recovery subsystem and a payload support subsystem, which characteristics are described herein. Also, SARA orbital platform mission will be presented as well the SARA Suborbital development status, including the recovery system flight tests.
