    Abstract
Space exploration is challenging but also enjoyable and financially profitable. The paper discusses the opportunities and challenges, the role of non-professionals for innovation in space research. Our current digital technology and new rich media applications empower, theoretically, both young and old to participate and to enjoy the world of science. One of the opportunities is to join the SETI activities. The name has become a symbol for search for extraterrestrial intelligence, and has characteristics of a strong brand, however, there are many for whom the concept and the movement, that has been able to unite some people all over the world for its peaceful mission, is unfamiliar. Furthermore, many others consider the search effort waste of time and energy, and are unaware of the mission statement to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe. The paper suggests that the next stepping stone and further target could be to unite the rest of the people for a peaceful common goal by opening a global debate on search for intelligence for the future of our Home Environment, The Earth and the Outer Space.
