    Abstract
The Chinese Earth Observation Program, over the nearly past four decades, has been mainly driven by the national need and international cooperation of natural resources survey, environment monitoring, ocean monitoring, mapping and cartographic applications and meteorological observation. Up till now, over sixty optical sensors on-board about forty satellites or spaceships have been launched into orbits. Among them, over fifty were developed by BISME/CAST. Some of the sensors are introduces in the paper; furthermore, an overview about their succeeding prototypes in near future and their facing missions are introduced as well.
