- Abstract
Recently, Space-borne SAR has been a hot topic for many countries that lead an advanced position in space. As a novel means of earth observation, however, there are many difference approaches to evaluation of space-borne SAR performance. In this paper, a novel approach has been discussed. Based on the mainframe of the SAR performance, we propose a systematic methodology that can balance the budgets of power assumption, size and weight of the SAR satellite, even the financial invest for building the SAR satellite. Parameters to build the mainframe of the space-borne SAR performance for design the SAR satellite are also discussed in the paper. Systematic results are given to show that our methodology is practical and applicable.
