    Abstract
    As one of important departments of CAST (China Academy of Space Technology) with responsibility for small satellite and micro-satellite manufacture, from 2000 to 2004, DFH Satellite Co. Ltd. (DFHSat) had manufactured six small satellites and launched to orbit. Nowadays, DFH is developing micro-satellite and new enhanced series according abroad application, the first micro-satellite as basic type is named MS-1. This paper intends to introduce the overview of MS-1 and describe capabilities and applications of new enhanced series in DFHSat.
    Adopting with advanced technologies and "function design + system integration" design conception, the basic performance of MS-1 is described as follows. Total mass is about 100kg and power is about 240W; information network and power network are established on MS-1, information control and power control are implemented through the network; MS-1 supply 3-axis stable capability with attitude determination accuracy of 0.2/º ~0.3/º  and pointing accuracy of 0.5/º , and the orbit control capability can make satellite meet the strict requirement of the applications; the power supplied by solar array with GaAs solar cell is about 160W, capacity of Li-Ion battery is 10Ah, and the DC/DC converters provides the second power with +28V, +/-12V and +/-5V; the working frequency of TT\&C is S band, and data transmission rate is 2Mbps; the payload of MS-1 is about 30kg weight and 200W power consumption.
    Based on technology of MS-1, which is in developing with flight modular (FM) and going to be launched in the next year, a new enhanced series of small satellite are planed, it would be aiming to form about 80kg-200kg continuative spectrum products through standardized and  modularized. The goal of the new enhanced series is programmed as follows. The mass of payload is range between 20kg and 120kg, the attitude determination accuracy is range from 0.01/º to 0.1/º and pointing accuracy is 0.1/º to 1/º, and the power supplied by solar array is 200W~300W, the lifetime is greater than 3 years. The new enhanced series is focused to satisfy satellite constellation and formation flight, and developed to different missions including earth remote, communication, science exploration, which as "Kuafu" mission and electromagnetic exploration satellite, and others.
