    Abstract
As the development of space laboratory and space station, operating time of manned space activity in orbit will be longer and longer. The impacting risk of viewports by orbit debris becomes severely. The viewports are important to crew for scientific experiments and observations. Viewports on spacecraft typically consist of multiple, separate glass panes. The outer window is the sacrificial debris pane.
In order to meet the protective requirement of manned spacecraft from orbit debris, a two stage light gas gun and a laser driven flyer facility have been developed by Beijing Institute of Spacecraft Environment Engineering. The hypervelocity impacting test on protective design assessment can be carried out with the facilities.
The paper introduces hypervelocity impacting test on viewports. The debris with different diameters and different velocities were launched to impact the viewports. The damage models and damage equations can be obtained, so as to assess the orbit debris impacting risk on viewports.
Meanwhile, the research results of accumulative damage effects on viewports by multiple small debris impacts are described in the paper.
