- Abstract
In order to ensure precise attitude of deployable structures in orbit, hybrid dynamic analysis of rigid motion and flexible deformation is required. This paper formulates basal equations for kinematic analysis of deployable truss structures. By using the generalized inverse theory, a new method is developed to hybrid dynamic analysis of deployable truss structures with mechanism motion and flexible deformation. The coupling between these two motions is calculated, so the analytical process can obtain a high accuracy. Moreover, the characteristics of nonlinear equations for deployable structures with clearances are analyzed, numerical solution method for such equations is studied. Compared with conventional dynamics of flexible multibody system, the advantage of this new method lies in its ability to analyze the complex movement of large deployable truss structure with clearances effectively with a comparatively simple modeling process. The efficiency of the new method is verified by simulation program based on it.
