    Abstract
Recently, increase size of the onboard antenna is remarkable as the satellite enlarges. In these systems, reduction of weight of a feedline that makes a signal to a large scale antenna becomes an indispensable technical problem. Therefore, we solve the weight problem replacing the feedline to the optical fiber mounted from satellite body to the antenna. Simultaneously, optical beamforming technique is adopted based on ROF (Radio On Fiber) technology. This time, a fundamental experiment of optical phased array antenna equipped with the satellite where the antenna beam had been formed in an optical region was done. Fundamental experimenting the transmission system with two beams as a transmission antenna confirmed validity for Ka band. As for this technology, the composition of the system can easily applied to the SPS large scale antenna.
