    Abstract
    The Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation ,a professional development and produce enterprise in the area of solid rocket propulsion, has undertaken a series of research ,design, manufacturing and testing on solid rocket motor for many years. These SRMs were used as upper stages of launch vehicles and orbit transfer systems in application satellites respectively. The paper mainly describes technical parameters, development process, ground tests and flight tests case of three typical solid motors.
         FG-46 motor, also called EPKM, is the kick motor for CZ-2E launch vehicle. It carry 3T payload from the initial perigee orbit to geo-synchronous transfer orbit (GTO). The Motor has successively used to launch “Asia-2”and “"Echostar-1”Satellite to the predetermined orbits on NOV.25,1995 and DEC.25,1995. flight tests obtained perfection success .
        FG-47 was developed for launching“Iridium” satellite which made by Motorola Corporation ,by CZ-2C launch vehicle to deliver the satellite from elliptic orbit to 630km altitude circular operational orbit. After five years development, the initial “Simulation” satellite flight was carried out in September 1997 ,other six launches followed with it, flight tests obtained perfection success .
    8FG57-2C motor is a kind of upper stage solid rocket motor used for launching two satellites in the “Double Satellite” program of Sino-Euro cooperation through CZ-2C/SM Launch vehicles. It has used to launch “explorer-1”and “explorer-2”Satellite respectively in the “Double Satellite” program in DEC,2003 and July.,2004. This upper stage motor successively carry satellite into apogee elliptic orbit, ignition and operation are normal.
        In the future , The Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation will farther strengthen development ability, improve SRMs performances through nozzle extendible exit cone and grain unloading technology , to meet requirement of upper stages motor in international aerospace propulsion field .
