    Abstract

    Change of orbit parameters may occur by influence on a space vehicle of forces of a various nature: aerodynamic drag, pressure of sunlight, engine thrust etc. In the report considered way of force creation thru interaction between conductor with current and planetary or interplanetary magnetic field. In fact in the report proposed thruster, which integrate advantages of the ion-engine and a propulsor on the basis of a conductor with a current, interacting with a magnetic field of the Earth, other planets or interplanetary magnetic field. The offered type of the engine allows to achieve the specific power (power consumption to thrust ratio) in 1,5...3,0 time less than for the bests is model of ion engines in case of flights on low earth orbits and in 3...10 time less in case high-altitude orbits, including geostationary. Thus specific impulse of the magnetic - ionic engine remains not less than achieve conventional electric propulsions. It is necessary to mark a feature of operation of the proposed magnetic - ionic engine at flight in an interplanetary magnetic field. This engine may be used not only as a means for change of orbit parameters but also as the generator of electrical energy, that essentially widen area of using this device. Thus, the offered àãíèòíî-ionic engine may be used for the solution of such practical tasks as:

    • creation of the space tug vehicle for transfer from low earth orbits on high earth orbits and escape trajectory
    • creation of a module of a propulsion system for an international space station
    • creation interplanetary vehicles, for quick interplanetary mission
