    Abstract
For half a century satellites make human life comfortable and convenient.Communication, navigation and weather forecast, etc. incarnate satellite power.Having undergone forty years of advancement, technologies of space microwave payloads see an era of fast and steady development in China.Nowadays space microwave payloads are core of most satellite systems. In accordance with their utility, space microwave payloads can be divided into four categories:info sense and acquisition payload, info transmission and delivery payload, info processing and switch payload, and info reference payload.A space payload subsystem of certain application is composed of some or all of them.Taking payloads of N1 Satellite,Fengyun Satellite and Ziyuan Satellite, etc. for example, this paper describes present status of universal technologies of space microwave payloads. Also future prospects are given of these universal technologies in China.
