    Abstract

    Development and production of complex products at Khrunichev Space Center (launch vehicles, upper stages, scientific and support manned orbital modules, spacecraft) are impossible without establishing a higher degree of product quality, reliability and safety with the use of quality control procedures based on the theory of intellectual systems and modern information technologies. In order for product quality planning, assurance, assessment, control and management, Khrunichev Space Center develops and introduces modern information technologies on the basis of a unified hardware/software complex which makes possible implementation of a comprehensive approach to the quality management and allows to take justified decisions in time. The presentation covers the following topics:

    • grounds for development of hardware/software complex (‘Hardware/Software Complex. Quality. Khrunichev’) on the intellectual systems theory;
    • information technologies used as the basis for generic procedures of the quality management system;
    • experience in developing engineering workstations for quality management activities.

    The development of the hardware/software complex at Khrunichev Space Center includes the grounds for design and development of engineering workstations set for the purposes of planning, computer simulation, testing and test results processing, assessment, control and prediction of the product quality parameters. The presentation gives a logical sequence of the following phases:

    • objects for development of the hardware/software complex, as well as the structure and contents of the most critical components (‘Hardware/Software Complex. Quality. Khrunichev’);
    • content and designation of standard engineering workstations for product quality assurance, control and management at Khrunichev Space Center;
    • engineering workstation for development of quality assurance program;
    • engineering workstation for identification of the product quality assurance, reliability and resource models on the basis of test results.

    From the standpoint of the presentation authors, the use of the hardware/software complex (‘Hardware/Software Complex. Quality. Khrunichev’) makes possible a significant efficiency increase of the product quality management at Khrunichev.
