- Abstract
The name of the person which has managed to make the way from the superconfidential organization to the West for cooperate in peace Space during rigid time to make secret everything, is well-known to experts of space-rocket technology in official representation. History of a life of V.M. Kovtounenko is a history of a becoming of the Soviet space programmes, of the Soviet international cooperation. The report tells about the typical representative of the Soviet intellectual, which went a way from family of the bookkeeper up to the main designer of space vehicles of deep and near-the-earth Space. The report shows the hard destiny of the person of the lucid mind, of the enormous scientific and design talent, of the personal charm, of courageous and principle one, which maintains his opinion for interests of true irrespective of a conjuncture. The report analyzes design and scientific development with participation V.M. Kovtounenko, shows his design talent, the contribution in world achievements of space technology. On a background of the general history of development of space technology in the USSR unknown facts for wide public of the unique biography V.M. Kovtounenko, working during 30 years in this technics are presented. V.M. Kovtounenko is one of authors and the head of the design of the first Soviet combat missiles on high temperature components with boiling, including intercontinental missile (R\_12, R\_14, R\_16). V.M. Kovtounenko is one of the first authors of conversion use of combat missiles as space vehicle of space probe in the USSR, one of the main founders of launch vehicle "Kosmos" (with use R-12). V.M. Kovtounenko is the main designer of numerous space probe of a various designation on the unified basis ("space platforms") for deep and near-the-earth Space. V.M. Kovtounenko is the large scientist and the author of works on aerodynamics of flying vehicles, the professor, the pupil of the big number of scientists and experts of space-rocket technology. The unknown facts of personal biography V.M. Kovtunenko are used. It is told about parents, about family V.M. Kovtunenko, about his participation in the second world wa. Through a prism of biography V.M. Kovtounenko the history and becoming DB-3 "Pivdenmach", unknown pages of a history of Babakin Center under management V.M. Kovtounenko is reflected.
