    Abstract
NAROM (Norwegian Centre for Space-related Education) offers education programmes for teachers and students at many different levels to ensure recruitment, promote appreciation for the benefits of space activities, and to stimulate the interest for science in general.
NAROM is located at Andøya Rocket Range (ARR), and uses the unique technical facilities at ARR to provide an exciting educational experience.

In addition NAROM concentrates on being an important contributor in the provision of space-related resources. The website SAREPTA, www.sarepta.org, was established both to inspire the youth in Science and Technology and to meet the recruitment requirement. The website is a space resource for students and teachers at upper primary and secondary school level for use in geography and science lessons. SAREPTA combines teaching and learning material with background information and exercises to put the student in centre of the learning process.
The last years the website is considerable extended. There is both an English and Norwegian version.
SAREPTA offers fresh satellite images, space applications and technique put together in a pedagogical context. Example of these are resources for project tasks on weather and climate, ice in the Arctic, ocean currents seen from satellites, Earth Observation and GIS, exciting Sun activities, satellite navigation and communication, rockets, space station and space shuttle.
The satellite images in the SAREPTA Image Bank are freely available for education purposes, but users need to register. In February 2006, there were about 5.000 registrations.
In the first part this paper will introduce the different content of the website. SAREPTA has a lot of curriculum based teaching space resources for science and geography classes in European upper primary and secondary school. There will be given an overview of the different resources developed and published for the website sarepta.org.

In a second part there will be explained how the teachers in Norway take part in the development and evaluation of the different space related themes to secure both the pedagogical value and the need of such resources for the classroom. Which types of space teaching resources do science and geography teachers use in their class? How to adapt to the new Norwegian Core Curriculum using satellite images, digital maps (GIS) and GPS?
We think that this presentation will be a good opportunity to promote the website around the world, make contacts and build a possible network for exchanging experience and cooperation for further development of the resources.
