    Abstract
Making a parallel with the attacks of the 11th September on the Twin Towers, it has become a reality that terrorists shall take control or destroy space related facilities on Earth such as ground stations and spaceports. Threats to the Galileo system may also occur. Besides, terrorists already use satellite applications, like broadcasting, in order to spread their ideologies. They may also have an interest in using high resolution remote sensing data.

The presentation will first examine the consequences of terrorism related to space activities on the application of international law principles, including space law. The author will discuss issues such as, responsibility, liability, jurisdiction and control. Then, the presentation will analyse the legal rules adopted to prevent terrorist acts related to space activities and the use of satellite applications for the purpose of terrorist groups.
