    Abstract
This event will provide Astronaut perspectives on current and future space activity. The plenary event will start with a presentation of the last missions to the International Space Station (ISS), showing the crew onboard and the current activities that are taking place to maintain the ISS. The next steps in the evolution of ISS will be presented: upcoming shuttle flights, ATV, Columbus. Also there will be a focus on the Aurora program with views of Mars from ESA’s Mars Express mission. This event aims to do the following: - Project the sentiment that the ISS is an ongoing project that is central to European interests. - Promote Europe’s strategic vision beyond the goals of the ISS. - Pass the message that the exploration of the Moon and Mars is also pursued by ESA.
