- Abstract
Microwave power transmission (MPT) technology has attracted worldwide interest as a technology of solar power satellites (SPS). To improve MPT efficiency, efficiency of the rectenna which converts microwave power to DC power, must be boosted primarily. It’s been verified through experiments that rectenna array element must be balanced for this purpose. A method of optimization of balanced rectenna array is proposed in this paper in the case of Gaussian power profile of the microwave beam. Also an optimum scheme of a balanced rectenna at 5.8GHz (or 2.45GHz) is presented here.
