    Abstract
35 years ago on May, 10, 1972 Academy of sciences of the USSR and the Indian organization of the space researches have signed the agreement providing a rendering to the Indian party of the advisory and technical help in creation scientific spacecraft, in maintenance of its launching with the Soviet booster rocket. Design office Yujnoe rendered all help, in particular in a choice of a design of a space vehicle, in thermal calculations, in an estimation of dynamic characteristics using the experience of designing of space vehicles accumulated from 1960. Experts DOYu have carried out design and electric coordination with the booster rocket, took part in experimental ground test, in preparation of the operational documentation, in works on the cosmodrome and on an initial phase of management of a space vehicle in an orbit. DOYu has executed a complete set of the Indian spacecraft by the gas propulsion system of rotation, solar and chemical batteries, the onboard tape recorder for registration of the scientific and providing equipment, thermostatic coverings. The first Indian spacecraft Ariabhata has been launched on April, 19, 1975 by booster rocket Interkosmos from the cosmodrome Kapustin Jar. Further cooperation has been continued by works on creation of spacecraft and its launching for experimental improvement of system of remote sounding the Earth for research of natural resources of India. 7 June 1979 successful launching of Indian satellites Bhaskara1 and 20 November 1981 Bhaskara2 have been carried out by rocket Interkosmos. Professor Kovtounenko headed the works as Director of the design. He was the Main designer of spacecrafts in DOYu. But as DOYu has been secret in those days, V. Kovtunenko has been submitted as the professor of the Dnipropetrovsk university where he was pluralizing as head of the faculty of aerodynamics. Paper is devoted to a famous 35years history of remarkable cooperation of the Soviet and Indian experts, to big personal contribution V. Kovtounenko to the sources of indian space technology. Technical aspects of the cooperation, of the received results, promotion to development of space researches in India are analyzed deeply. Authors of the report participated personally during different time in the soviet and Indian cooperation and they were meeting with professor V. Kovtounenko repeatedly. In the report unknown materials for world rocket elite from personal archive of authors are used.
