    Abstract
To stimulate the commercialization of space, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is facilitating the establishment of commercial transportation services to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) which can serve the International Space Station (ISS) and other LEO destinations. The NASA Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) initiative in conjunction with the ISS National Lab will provide services necessary to serve a variety of microgravity applications in the next decade. In preparation, NASA is undertaking a number of steps to serve and develop these markets in parallel with the development and demonstration of COTS capabilities and the completion of the ISS. This paper provides an overview of the transportation and destination services expected to be available to serve the microgravity marketplace and discusses the preparatory steps.
