- Abstract
Lavochkin Association has an extensive positive experience in spacecraft creation and missions realization concerning Moon exploration. Even in the seventies different unmanned moon devices were developed and launched, they provided soft landing on Moon adjustment, creation of artificial moon satellite, moon soil sampling and its delivery on Earth, delivery of the moon rovers called “Lunokhod” on moon surface. Nowadays a conception which provides stage-by-stage automated technical devices expansion in near the Moon space and on the Moon surface up to creation of unmanned moon site with the corresponding scale enlargement of explorations is proposed. Conception provides the development of unmanned space complexes for further phases of Moon exploration and development:
- exploration of moon inner structure and natural resources by means of remote and contact methods;
- contact explorations and samples collection on moon surface by means of mobile laboratory – moon rover;
- Moon soil samples (collected by moon rover) return;
- creation of scientific-research site on moon surface for adjustment of fundamental methods of moon soil processing, delivery of obtained samples and materials on Earth, and also performing wide spectrum of scientific and technological research.
Main program milestones realization is planned on the next decade. The tasks of the first two milestones are intended to be solved in the frames of “Luna-Glob” Project, which is the part of Russian Federal Space Program. The tasks of third and forth milestones can be solved in the frames of international cooperation, which potential will increase in the next ten years as the scale of moon exploration by other countries will grow.
