    Abstract
Juno is a New Frontiers mission expected to launch in August, 2011 and arrive at Jupiter in 2016. Peering down through the clouds and deep into Jupiter’s atmosphere, Juno reveals fundamental processes of the formation and early evolution of our solar system. Using a simple, solar powered, spinning spacecraft in an innovative, highly elliptical polar orbit, Juno avoids Jupiter’s highest radiation regions. The Juno mission overview in an IAC 2005 paper detailed the results of the concept study. Since Juno is almost through the preliminary design phase, this paper provides updated detail of the operations concept and spacecraft, payload, and ground system designs. Finally, the cruise to Jupiter including Earth flyby, Jupiter orbit insertion, and Jupiter science orbit are detailed including the driving requirements.
