    Abstract
This work show a piece of the Space debris history, since their beginning and how the situation was getting worse. The concern of the cientists about the Environment and ways of mitigation such as its final destination.

Since the beginning of the Space Age men launches objects to space without the concern with the probable pollution of this space. At time people interested on this exploration wasn't thinking about the space environment like a place to be preserved. But in time, they start to think about these debris, was what to do if one of these pieces of garbage could fall down to surface and hit an area highly habited. The responsible and interested nations on this pacific exploration of the space are, now, worried in make new conventions and treatments that lead this subject under the perspective of the possibility of a reentry on atmosphere and other issues. At time was necessary to do an adjustment on the Space Treaty of 1967. Was elaborated The Convention on International Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects of 1972.
However they could not see the possibility to reduce the amount of debris, reducing, this way, the probability of one of these accidents to happen. There is many ideas, but nothing concrete really. Men always does actions to fight instead to prevent them. Theses actions are more expensive and harder to reach.

Inside this study is important to detach the measures of mitigation and what's been done to reduce these risks of all this space debris in orbit. One of the most intriguer mechanisms is the "space broom". There is, also, some protector shields, allowing a higher resistance to vessels with crew and research probes. These ideas were born from the need of an immediate action, observing the growth of the space travels, and the alliances between countries in reason to amplify this exploration, searching the answers and way outs to the mankind's problems.
