    Abstract
Results of applicability study of modern constructional materials for propellant tanks and adjacent designs of future space transportation systems are presented for various types of launchers of the most preferable configurations. Principal issues of optimum choice of construction materials for structural designs of future launchers are considered. Issues connected with usage of cryogenic propellants are studied. Low-cycle, high-cycle, crack propagation and other thermo-mechanical issues connected to design and development of RLV are being analyzed.
