    Abstract
Traditionally, single spacecraft gets power from its own power system and “PV-Battery” is a classic structure of the space power system. This way leads to that much power are wasted by the shunt unit when the spacecraft runs towards the sun and the utilizable power is restricted by the ability of the battery during the shadow. As the development of the spacecraft, for example the space station, the power utility technology of multi-spacecrafts is a good research direction. This means that one spacecraft can get power from another and also can supply power to other ones. This idea is meaning in improving the power efficiency and optimizing the configuration of the power system. This paper is focused on the power utility technology of multi-spacecrafts. “How to realize the power utility” and “the key problems of the technology (such as voltage regulation, the power flow direction control method , the monitor mechanism and so on)”are discussed. Then, the “power-balance” issue is analyzed and the corresponding configuration suggestion of the space power system is given. The models of the space power system and the power utility technology are built and the simulation and results in MATLAB are presented. The results proves that the power utility technology is realistic and efficient in reducing the configuration of the solar array and battery and when power system fault occurs, the technology can also ensure the power supply of the important loads. At last, the design of the hardware platform for the test of the power utility technology is introduced.
