    Abstract
Over the past year, ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office has introduced a number of new initiatives aimed at increasing the number of transfers of space technologies to non-space sectors in its Member States. These include a National Technology Transfer Initiative, an Open Call for Technology Transfer Proposals, new opportunities involving Innovation Relay Centres, additional Agency incubators, greater application of space systems and the establishment of a Technology Fund to attract interest and investment in support of entrepreneurs, start-up companies and SMEs who are applying space technologies and system. The paper will review the implementation and progress to date of these various schemes and initiatives and give a projection for the future.
