    Abstract
A half century has passed from the beginning of the history of human’s space activity. Globalization, commercialization and other changes, which we did not assume in the dawn of the space activity, have come at this point. It seems we are at the major turning point. Especially, as it is said in many occasions, it is getting more important to recognize mutually on what international partnership and cooperation should be.
For example, US Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (ISS) Program, which both are more than 2 decades programs, are on the road to their termination within a decade and human exploration beyond the low earth orbit almost starts towards the moon or mars. Global Exploration Strategy (GES) and its concrete mechanism, called the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) was established to coordinate robotic and human space exploration and it promotes “Program of Programs” type cooperation which is different from ISS type cooperation.
One serious thing has been occurring that the US engineers for space infrastructures are aged and coming to retire. The numbers of next generation for space engineering are decreasing in competition with computer science industry and information technology industry. This phenomena is happened not only the US but also all over the world.
To correspond to these changes timely, we recognize that to share the international view of the young experts/professionals who has the potential to become one of the key people in 20 years is an important experience in early stage of their career. The young experts/professionals of any national/international space agency should have common sense and should communicate continuously, viewing the world change and needs sensitively. To evolve the space activities on appropriate goal, as a basement of the new type of the cooperation and partnership, JAXA young professional team launched the Multilateral Young Professional Exchange Program (MYPEP) in 2006. This is a pilot project and it start in bilaterally. 5-10 selected young professionals (most of them are age of 20s-30s) from both agencies get together and 2 times 3-5 days meetings for discussion on space issues as well as non-space (cultural) issues to well understand mutually in both of their countries.
JAXA conducted 2 MYPEP project with ISRO in 2007 and with VAST/STI in 2008. We will present at IAC for the first time what we have found through MYPEP, commonality, diversity, future communication tool and follow up activities and future perspective.
