    Abstract
    Now in Japan, Liberal Democratic Party has submitted the bill of the Space Fundamental Law for the present and future Japanese space activities to the Diet.  The aim of this law is to set the basic rules for establishing Japanese space policy as a whole on the national level.  At the same time Democratic Party, the largest opposition party of the Diet also considers the principles of Japanese space activities in its Space Fundamental Law Project Team.
    
    In this article, the author will introduce this law (bill) and analyse it from some viewpoints, such as its purposes, basic policies, Japanese policy making structure, implication, etc.  And if possible, the author will compare Japanese law with other domestic laws and policies.
