    Abstract
The Chinese Earth Observation Program, over the nearly past four decades, has been mainly driven by the national need and international cooperation of natural resources survey, environment monitoring, ocean monitoring, mapping and cartographic applications and meteorological observation. Up till now, over seventy optical sensors on-board forty satellites or spaceships have been launched into orbits. Among them, sixty were developed by BISME/CAST. Some of the sensors are introduced in the paper; furthermore, an overview about their succeeding prototypes in near future and their facing missions are introduced as well.
