  • Contrast of Utilization between before and after KIBO on the ISS

    Abstract
    The KIBO project in the ISS had started more than 20 yeas ago and since then, we have been walking long road toward this point. The landscape is something same as expected but others are quite different.  JAXA have been accumulate experience though planning, assemble, commission and operation cycle of the KIBO in the past one year and gradually enhance knowledge includes mutual understanding among partners. This may be lead us to a paradigm shift of manned space activity. This manuscript will try to find one dimension of raison d’être of the KIBO on the ISS from a utilization view point.
