- Abstract
The effective country’s space policy is essential to its future sustainable space development, this policy cannot succeed if it is based on spontaneous approaches. Instead, the emergence of new effective concepts and novel system approaches will also be needed to enable sustainable development of country’s space activities. The space policy objectives to be pursued should be prioritized and restructured from a global, perspective point of view of the technologies and systems needed, but must be well focused on result-oriented targets and improvements over current capabilities to be realized in the foreseeable future. Overview of recent developments in the space applications sector and current trends of Kazakhstan’s space policy are given in this paper. It covers national space policy issues and how global and national economic downturn touches the plans.
