HANA-densetsu, a new challenge of Space Cultural Mission

- Abstract
HANA-densetsu is a new challenge of space utilization to create unique values not only science but cultural and educational side. Selected Japanese popular flowers such as, SAKURA (Cherry), YURI (Lily) and SUMIRE (Violet) which fulfilling a space journey on behalf of Earth-civilian. The flower seeds packed into double layered Ziploc bags have been stowing at room temperature in Kibo module for 6 months. They returned to the ground in early summer 2009, and be served for science studies and for civilian activities such as planted in their home very carefully. Thousands of people, already participated in this project, are looking forward to create a new legend of space flowers. This scheme could be addopted for all-world project.
