Abstract

In 2010, the members of the Japan Space Elevator Association (JSEA) started developing a draft version of the Space Elevator Road Map.  All comments, opinions, and technical studies from members of JSEA are incorporated into this road map.  
In this manuscript, the overview of the road map is described.  Also, selected topics which were discussed among JSEA members during development of the road map are included.  
The discussion covers not only technical aspects but also issues and considerations regarding legal, funding, and international cooperation.
