    Abstract
In its 10 years, World Space Week has become the largest space outreach event on Earth. Declared by the UN-General Assembly as October 4-10 annually, it is now celebrated in over 60 nations annually with hundreds of events reaching thousands of attendees and millions through media coverage. The global space and education communities have worked together by holding events during World Space Week. Using the power of synchronization, audiences such as the general public, students, government leaders, and other audiences have been efficiently reached in a variety of ways. This paper reviews the results and highlights of World Space Week at its 10th anniversary, and identifies opportunities and challenges for the global space sector to build on its momentum.
